Prom 66: John Luther Adams, In the Name of the Earth

I made my debut with the London Philharmonic Choir in a MASSIVE performance of John Luther Adams’s 360-degree soundscape of North America, In the Name of the Earth, this past Sunday morning at Royal Albert Hall here in London. Along with some 600 other singers, we held the European premiere of the piece with choirs stationed in every corner of the Hall to create a sensation of passing over the geographical features of the North American continent, speaking and singing the names of landforms and locations which have shaped and been shaped by the people who have lived there.

A recording of the piece from BBC Radio 3 can be found online for 30 days following the performance! (If you miss the link but still wish to have a listen, send me a message and I can supply a .mp4 of the radio broadcast)
Head outside and enjoy on a long walk in your local park!
